We sell new and used vehicles, heavy machinery, tyres & batteries, and do servicing and repair works for vehicles, trucks, tractors, etc. We also sell Mobil lubricants. Some of the brands we are associated with are Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, UD and Mahindra.

My role is as the Manager Corporate Business Unit and I really enjoy the challenges which come with this job.

Helping Needy Schoolchildren

I am playing with the idea of setting up a program to assist needy school children in the Central Division in terms of fees, books, clothes, shoes, bus fare, toys, etc.

Do you know any such project which can assist me?

Using MIS to Deliver Essential Public Services: The Case of Fiji Islands

As a MIS MBA433 student with the University of the South Pacific, I am part of the group which has been tasked with a project on "Using MIS to Deliver Essential Public Services: The Case of Fiji".

As such, we have chosen to evaluate the information systems at Ministry of Health - Fiji, in particular the:

1.  Patient Information System,
2.  Financial Management Information System,
3.  Human Resource Information System, and
4.  Public Health Information System.

What are some of your thoughts on this topic?

Fiji

I work as the Manager - Corporate Business Unit for Carpenters Motors. I am originally from Vatuwaqa, Suva, Fiji. Fiji is a living paradise on earth. Hundreds of thousands of people spend their lifetime savings to come and enjoy just 2-3 weeks in Fiji and I am lucky to be born and live here.

It is a secure place, unlike what many people are told in foreign countries; a beautiful place to visit with you and your family. The people here are very friendly and are born smiling. Time has slowed down here and it is an ideal place for people who really value their holidays away from the busy working lives.

ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE

Big or small organizations today need to be agile. Change has become the new norm and traditional learning methods may not be as effective as before. In these challenging and turbulent times, effective leaders need to deal, adapt and change with these external changes even if the conditions are not unfavourable or turbulent.

WE NEED TO CHANGE QUICKER ON THE INSIDE THAN THE WORLD DOES ON THE OUTSIDE. As Obama said: FIRED UP AND READY TO GO!
